Boy, 9, found safe after being reported missing and endangered from Northeast Side of Columbus

A 9-year-old boy missing from Columbus' Northeast Side and considered endangered was found safe, Columbus police said Thursday morning.

Damonie Jackson, who is Black with black hair and brown eyes, 4 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 100 pounds, was missing since Wednesday from the area of Cleveland and Chittenden avenues, police said at about 2 a.m. Thursday morning. At about 11 a.m. Thursday, Columbus police said the boy was found.

Police did not say why they had considered Jackson to be endangered. Prior to his disappearance, he was last seen riding a purple and black bicycle wearing a white shirt and red shorts.
