Boil advisory: Killian water system fails, Livingston Parish issues declaration of emergency

KILLIAN, La. (BRPROUD) — Livingston Parish President Randy Delatte issued an emergency declaration Tuesday after a water system failure in the village of Killian.

According to a social media post from the parish government, the failure poses a risk to public health and safety. Officials are working to address the problem and urge residents to stay informed and follow any emergency directives.

Killian officials said, “All customers on Town of Killian water are under a boil advisory effective immediately and until further notice.”
