Body found in middle of lanes on 605 Freeway after violent crash

Authorities responding to the scene of a brutal crash on the 605 Freeway discovered a body lying in the roadway amongst the debris.

Preliminary information indicates that CHP officers and the Orange County Fire Authority responded to the northbound side of the 605 at Katella Avenue in Los Alamitos around 2 a.m. Saturday on reports of a collision involving multiple vehicles.

Multiple suspects arrested after high-speed chase through L.A., Orange counties

A total of two cars were involved in the crash, video from the scene obtained by KTLA showed.

The body of the unidentified victim was found in the middle of the freeway, according to initial reports; they were pronounced dead at the scene.

3 arrested for ransacking Target stores in Southern California

It was not immediately clear if the victim was ejected as a result of the crash or if they were struck while stepping out of the vehicle.

The initial cause of the crash is not known.
