Blacksburg man in custody after police find illicit drugs worth over $237K during search

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WFXR) — The Blacksburg Police Department charged a man with multiple drug-related charges after issuing a search warrant on Tuesday, April 2.

According to the police, the search warrant was issued in relation to an ongoing narcotics trafficking investigation. Along with the Blacksburg PD, the search warrant was assisted by Virginia State Police, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and the Christiansburg Police.

During the search, police allegedly found illicit drugs that included the following:

  • 2.08lbs of Psilocybin Mushrooms

  • Seven grams of Ketamine

  • 752 hits of LSD

  • 9.79lbs of Marijuana

  • 827 grams of THC Wax

  • 51 grams of THC Resin

  • Four pounds, nine ounces of Ibogaine

  • 13 grams of MDMA

  • 3,784 grams of THC Gummies

  • $10,000 in cash

LPD investigating burglary of local marijuana dispensary, no suspects

The total street value is estimated to be around $237,100.

Julius C. Semple from Blacksburg has been arrested and charged with:

  • Three counts Manufacturing, selling, giving, distributing, or possessing with the into to manufacture, sell, give, or distribute a controlled substance or an imitation controlled substance prohibited.

  • Penalties for sale, gift, distribution, or possession with intent to sell, give or distribute marijuana.

  • Possession with intent to distribute a Schedule III controlled substance.
