Bingo fundraiser benefits nonprofit pet organization

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A local organization that helps pets in distress is getting a big helping hand.

A huge crowd turned out Sunday afternoon for a Designer Purse Bingo Fundraiser benefiting Tracey’s Hope Hospice Care and Rescue for Domestic Animals.

28/22 News Reporter Mark Hiller had the pleasure of being one of the celebrity bingo callers at Saint Mary’s Center in Scranton.

Festival season kicks off in Pittston

The event is the Duryea-based non-profit’s biggest annual fundraiser.

Fellow 28/22 staffers Candice Kelly and Logan Westrope also called bingo games at Sunday’s fundraiser in the Electric City.
