Bernalillo County Metro Detention Center holding hiring event
BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – The county is looking to hire corrections officers and corrections technicians to work at the Metropolitan Detention Center. They are hosting a hiring event on March 27.
Pay for the open positions starts at $20.34 and increases after academy completion, the county says. New officers might qualify for up to $5,000 worth of incentives and those with previous corrections experience might qualify for up to $10,000 in incentives, and full-time officers receive a retirement plan and benefits.

The county will host an in-person hiring event at the New Mexico Workforce Connection (501 Mountain Rd NE, Albuquerque) on March 27. The event will be from 9:00 a.m. to noon, and applicants are encouraged to “dress for success” and participate in on-site interviews.
