Benefit bash for Abba's Tables, Ada Homeless set

May 23—A "Benefit Bash" for Abba's Tables and Ada Homeless Services is slated for Saturday, June 15, the weekend of "Juneteenth," at East Central University's Kerr Activities Center. The event runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

There is a $5 entry fee. Kids 12 and under are admitted free.

The day will include hot dogs, face painting, a bounce house, a dunk tank, a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, a basketball tournament, a hot shot contest and more.

"I'm really excited about it," Charlotte Hatton said recently. "I think it'll be a good turnout. We've gotten a lot of donations and items for the silent auction. We're going to have a lot of things going on at the same time."

The law enforcement community, including District Attorney Erik Johnson, plans to take turns in the dunk tank to raise more donations.

Donations are accepted at Charlotte's, 220B East Main Street in Ada. Charlotte's is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
