Bemidji Avenue construction near Glidden Road to start May 6

May 2—BEMIDJI — With construction set to begin on Bemidji Avenue/County State Aid Highway 21 north of Bemidji on Monday, May 6, the Beltrami County Highway Department announced that motorists should expect partial lane closures and a one-lane road with flaggers.

The work includes ditch reshaping and drainage improvements. The project will be open to traffic; however, motorists are urged to find an alternative route to avoid delays, a release said.

Work should be completed approximately one week after the projected start date.
