Belmont Park to add two new dining options

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Headed to Belmont Park this spring? Two new food businesses are coming to the historic amusement park.

Pizza Port Brewing Co. and MooTime Creamery will be the latest additions to Belmont Park as it celebrates its 99th year in service, Katalyst Public Relations announced in a release last week.

Pizza Port, which has locations in Solana Beach, Ocean Beach, Imperial Beach & Port Side and two in Carlsbad, offers a variety of pizza and allows customers to create their own pie. The restaurant is also known for its craft beer which will be available throughout the park.

MooTime Creamery, which will be the first brick and mortar partnership for the 50s-inspired ice cream shop, also is located in Coronado. It features over 30 ice cream flavors and a plethora of mix-ins.

“Over the last 98 years, the one thing that has remained constant at Belmont Park is our beloved San Diego community,” said Sarah Abelsohn, Director of Marketing at Belmont Park. “We love serving our local community and are thrilled to add two long-standing, San Diego staples to the park. Similar to Belmont Park, Pizza Port and MooTime have histories as iconic beachtown favorites and now we get to have them all in one place, truly making Belmont Park the ultimate beachside destination.”

Both businesses are expected to open sometime in March.
