Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival in Wilmington: From tickets to meat, here's what to know

There will be several events celebrating St. Patrick's Day in the Wilmington area, including the long-running St. Patrick's Day Parade downtown on Saturday, March 16.

Later that day, you can also take in your share of beer, barbecue and bourbon just north of the parade route.

Here's what to know about the Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival.

What's happening

The Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival will be held Saturday, March 16 at Live Oak Bank Pavilion at Riverfront Park, 10 Cowan St. in Wilmington. There will be beer sipping, beer and bourbon tasting (must have valid ID), music and barbecue.

Vendors

Admission gets the participant a sampling glass to enjoy more than 60 beers and over 40 bourbons. There also will be some of the best barbecue vendors on site serving an all-you-can eat pulled pork from whole hogs, ribs, brisket, chickens, sausages and all the fixing.

Cost

General admission is $48 from 2-6 p.m. VIP Whole Hog Session begins at $65 from noon-6 p.m. Online discount for military with a valid ID. There are designated driver tickets available for $25 on-site only.

Entertainment

Live rock and blues music on the Main Stage. The Cochon Carnival will have fun activities and games ― Connect 4, giant Jenga, cornhole, ping pong and more.
