Bayern Munich will visit South Korea, the home country of their defender Kim Minjae, for the first time in the off-season, the Bundesliga champions said on Wednesday.

The trip is part of the Audi Summer Tour which takes them to Asia for a fourth time, along with five previous visits to the United States.

Bayern said one match will take place in Seoul's World Cup Stadium, with exact dates and opponents to be announced at a later stage.

“We are delighted that FC Bayern will be visiting South Korea for the first time," Bayern's executive vice chairman Michael Diederich said.

"The enthusiasm for football in the entire region is huge and we are proud to have one of the top international stars from South Korea in our team in Minjae Kim. It will be a special journey, for Minjae and for our entire club."

"We are looking forward to the cultural exchange and to making interesting new contacts and building relationships in order to get to know the country and the people of South Korea better."
