All lanes back open after Bay Bridge accident Friday snarls traffic

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — All lanes are back open after a hit-and-run accident on the Bay Bridge Friday afternoon snarled traffic on the eastbound lanes of I-80. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident, but traffic on the eastbound approach from San Francisco was severely backed up.

Layoffs announced at 2 big Bay Area biotech firms

The accident occurred west of Treasure Island. The CHP advised drivers to expect residual delays. No other information was immediately available.
