Baton Rouge police identify man killed in shooting on Cate Avenue
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting in the 12400 block of Cate Avenue. The shooting happened around 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, March 31.
Edward Brooks, 35, died from injuries sustained in the shooting.
He was taken to a local hospital after officers found him “suffering from a gunshot wound,” BRPD said. Brooks died at the hospital.
Detectives are searching for a suspect and motive in this deadly shooting.
