Bartlett K9 Gus finds family lost in Nesbit Park

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -A Bartlett Police Officer and her K9 Gus are being praised for their efforts to find a family lost in Nesbit Park at night.

Gus is new to the force.

Bartlett PD said it was the pair’s first time tracking in a non-training capacity. They were able to locate the family in about seven minutes and lead them out of the park.

Nesbit Park is on Yale Road and includes the Stanky Creek hiking and biking trails.

The Bartlett Police Department has not said how the family got lost in the Park but said Officer H. Haler and Gus arrived minutes after they received a call for help.
