Baldwyn man charged with Saltillo shooting incident
SALTILLO – A Prentiss County man has been charged in connection with a Saltillo shooting where one man was injured.
Saltillo police were called to the Cedar Stone apartments Saturday May 18 for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived at the complex just off Mobile Street near Highway 145, they found a male who had been shot. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries and was able to identify Omarion Givon Barnett as his attacker.
Barnett, 21, of Highway 366, Baldwyn was located in New Albany, was taken into custody, and later transferred to Lee County Jail. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
He has since been released from jail on bond.
