Give back while you eat at Dine for the Diner May 16
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — Some Acadiana restaurant patrons will be able to feel even better about their meals on May 16, when Dine for the Diner will be held at over 30 participating local restaurants.
On that day at participating restaurants, 10% of the proceeds from the day will be donated to St. Joseph Diner, a donor-driven program of Catholic Charities of Acadiana. The community is invited to support St. Joseph Diner by eating at one or more participating restaurants on Dine for the Diner Thursday.
Held annually, Dine for the Diner raises support for St. Joseph Diner. Since 1983, St. Joseph Diner has served warm meals to those experiencing hunger and food insecurity. A 100% donor funded program, the diner serves over 5,200 meals per week and over 270,000 meals annually at no cost to those who are served.
