Baby Reindeer star reveals cut Teri and Donny moment from the series

Baby Reindeer star Nava Mau has shared the details of a deleted scene between her character Teri and Richard Gadd's Donny in the new Netflix show.
The seven-part series Donny strike up a relationship with a trans woman named Teri, however their romance is impacted when Donny's stalker begins to target her as well, causing the pair to ultimately break-up.
However, Mau has now revealed there was a final interaction between the pair that didn't make it into the series which showed Teri being able to fully move on from her relationship with Donny and ordeal with Martha.
"Teri leaves Donny a voicemail five months later. So I think, for me, I got closure because Teri did too," the actor told GQ.

"That's what gave me so much comfort, knowing that they found peace with regards to their relationship," she added.
Explaining why it was important for her to see a trans character to get a "happy ending," she continued: "Teri found a new man, she didn't lose her friends, she didn't lose her job, she didn't lose her smile. She's good.
"And I think that is remarkable, because so often we've seen stories of trans people that end with them broken."
Created by Gadd, Baby Reindeer is based on his real life experience with a stalker, which in turn forces him to face his own buried trauma.

Gadd plays a fictionalised version of himself, while other characters and plot details have been changed in order to protect the identities of the real-life people the series is based on.
Following the premiere of the series, Gadd has since urged viewers not to try to identify or speculate about the people the characters were based on.
"Please don't speculate on who any of the real-life people could be. That's not the point of our show. Lots of love, Richard x X," Gadd wrote on his Instagram Stories.
Baby Reindeer is available to stream on Netflix.
