Baby’s Bounty expands to meet growing need for services, supplies and more

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Baby’s Bounty is getting a new home. The local nonprofit, which provides diapers and other resources to at-risk families, is launching its new facility “Baby’s Bounty Center for Families” to expand its services, supplies, education, and support to the valley.

“We’re thrilled to announce that our growing nonprofit has a new home and headquarters – The Baby’s Bounty Center for Families. This larger space will allow us to better serve our community and to improve services in support of Nevada’s families,” said Baby’s Bounty President and CEO Kelly Maxwell.

Designed to meet the needs of the growing non-profit, the 9,000 square ft. space includes an expanded warehouse, to accommodate its ever-growing diaper bank, offices, meeting spaces, and The Johnson Family Classroom to amplify its educational offerings.

Baby’s Bounty offers four district programs to support children and their families:

  • Baby Bundles – Baby’s Bounty’s original program provides a true “Baby Shower in a Box” – a full complement of everything high-risk families need for an infant’s first six months of life. Bundles include diapers, wipes, feeding supplies, clothing, a portable crib, and a car seat – all designed to keep Nevada infants clean, safe, and healthy.

  • Diaper Banks – Originally launched in May 2020 in response to the Covid-19 outbreak, Baby’s Bounty’s diaper bank program launched with one monthly bank serving 30 families. Since launch, the program has expanded to four static monthly banks across the state and a mobile diaper bank – offering pop-up diaper banks in underserved areas. Baby’s Bounty has distributed almost 4 million diapers and over 6 million wipes in the program’s four years.

  • Diapers for Diplomas – Introduced for the 2023-2024 school year, Diapers for Diplomas provided a school years’ worth of diapers to parenting students across Nevada higher education institutions including University of Nevada, Las Vegas; Nevada State University; University of Nevada, Reno; College of Southern Nevada; and Truckee Meadows Community College. The program will return for the 2024-2025 academic year, serving more students at more colleges and universities in Nevada.

  • Diapers for Disasters – Formed in response to the war in Ukraine, Diapers for Disasters sends critical aid to families caught in conflict regions and natural disasters. Supplies sent include diapers, wipes, period supplies, and more.

The Baby’s Bounty Center for Families opens Tuesday, April 29.
