Authorities searching for armed robbery suspect

PARSONS, Kan. — Parsons police continue to search for a suspect in a weekend armed robbery.

Officers say shortly before 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, a man entered the Pump-N-Pete’s convenience store on Main Street and showed a semi-automatic pistol.

The clerk told officers the man demanded cash – and when she didn’t reply, he fired a shot into the cash register.

Police say the suspect took lottery tickets, cigarettes, and the clerk’s purse – put it all into a white 13-gallon trash can – then left.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Parsons Police Department at (620) 421-7060.
