Attic fire damages home in Luzerne County

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— An attic fire damaged a home early Saturday morning in Wilkes-Barre.

Wilkes Barre City Fire Department said a call came just before 5:30 a.m. for a reported structure fire on the 300 block of McLean Street.

When on-scene, first responders determined that the fire started in the attic.

There were no reported injuries according to officials, and the Red Cross is helping out the family that was affected.

Authorities say that the fire is still under investigation.
