Arrest made after Baton Rouge police chase ends in multi-car crash
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A Baton Rouge police chase Wednesday night ended in a multi-vehicle crash that injured at least two people.
Baton Rouge Police said around 10 p.m. Wednesday, May 15 city police were involved in a chase that started near I-10 eastbound at Acadian Thruway and ended near I-10 east at Highland Road.
Police said the chase resulted in a multi-vehicle crash injuring at least two people. Both were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. Louisiana State Police responded to the scene to handle traffic crashes, according to a police spokesperson.
A suspect was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of driving while intoxicated (DWI), aggravated flight and multiple traffic violations.
