Armie Hammer's Questionable Quarantine Haircut Comes With a Matching Mustache

Actor, low-key style icon, an absurdly handsome person Armie Hammer clearly has a lot of talents — hairstyling evidently isn't one of them. While self-quarantining during the COVID-19 pandemic, Hammer probably hasn't had access to a proper haircut, so he decided to take matters into his own hands. On April 15, Hammer posted a mirror selfie to Instagram that went instantly viral, thanks to how utterly shocking it is.

"Killing the game," Hammer captioned his selfie, showing a freshly shaved mohawk and handlebar mustache. It's quite a switch-up from Hammer's perpetually well-groomed beards and shiny coif, that's for sure. For good measure, he also decided to trade in his signature tracksuits for a cut-up T-shirt (which I'm betting actually belongs to his wife, given the V-neck cut) and... a pair of swim trunks?

I'm not going to lie, I got a pretty good chuckle out of this when it first popped up on my Instagram feed. And I'm assuming that was Hammer's exact goal... but the longer I look at it, the more I wish I had never seen it. I might never be able to look at Hammer's sculpted cheekbones and fluttery eyelashes again without having traumatic flashbacks to this photo — specifically, the predatory look in his eyes and the mohawk that is so clearly crooked I can't unsee it.

After long enough, self-isolating leads us all to do to pretty weird stuff we wouldn't have considered otherwise. It's clear to see from Hammer's sudden hair-cutting ambitions that celebrities aren't exempt from that.

Surely, this is more of a joke than a permanent hair choice on his end. It'll take a lot to get the image of this terrible clipper technique out my mind, but hair is just hair. It'll grow back before we even know it. Let's just hope he doesn't decide to use those clippers on anyone else he's quarantined with.
