Arkansas Storm Team Blog: 8 PM Sunsets return this month
As we enter May, temperatures start to warm up and our days continue to get longer. This month our 8 PM sunsets return, and they will stick around until August. As of May 1st, our sunset is still at 7:55 PM, but by May 8th it returns to 8 PM.
Our latest sunset in Little Rock will occur on June 20th at 8:26 PM. From the end of June to July 6th we will keep our 8:26 PM sunset time.
After July 6th, our sunsets will slowly get earlier, however, will keep our 8 PM sunsets through the beginning of August. By August 13th, our sunset will return to the 7 o’clock hour.
Meanwhile, our sunrise times continue to occur earlier and earlier. To start off May, our sunset is at 6:18 AM.
Our earliest sunrise will happen June 7th-16th at 5:55 AM. As the summer continues, our sunrise will slowly return to the 6 o’clock hour.
