Ariana Grande Just Jumped Into Nicki Minaj and Travis Scott's Feud

She threw some light shade at Travis.

After joking about Travis Scott and Nicki Minaj's feud at a Sweetener session in Chicago this week, Ariana has clarified her on-stage roast in a tweet about Travis.

To recap, Ariana previously mentioned Travis while talking about her own album potentially hitting no. 1 on the charts this week. "We have three days left — you don't know what Travis could pull," she said then, alluding to Nicki's previous tweets alleging that Travis's album Astroworld was only no. 1 because of his association with Kylie Jenner and their daughter Stormi Webster.

On Thursday afternoon, Ariana addressed the social media buzz her statement created, and explained that she was only kidding around. Ari wrote, "I adore travis & kylie and i love the astroworld album a joke issa joke watch the video, stop using me for clickbait so i can come online n celebrate my number one too pls ! hip hip hooray !"

She then added, "Also everything literally almost everything i say i say for comedic effect and am never serious .... like i’m always “on”.... if ever u think i’m being shady i’m jus goin for the laugh ..... if i’m being fr shady you’ll know. I’m a v loving lil babe." And finally said, "Anyway i jus had to say that bc i love everyone a lot n that ain’t accurate or journalism ok love u."

Nicki Minaj shows no signs of backing off from her ongoing feud with Travis Scott (and Kylie Jenner and Stormi Webster). And now, her good friend Ariana Grande has jumped in as well.

On Wednesday night, during Ariana's Sweetener Session concert in Chicago, the singer seemed to jokingly second Nicki's complaints that, thanks mainly to Kylie and Stormi's popularity, Travis's new album Astroworld is experiencing unprecedented levels of success — success that, if you ask Nicki, deserves to go to her own recently released album, Queen.

As seen in fan videos captured at the show, per Cosmopolitan, a member of Ari's team comes onstage to tell her there's a "100 percent" chance her new album will be No. 1 on the charts after its first week. The pop star cuts him off to quip, "We have three days left — you don't know what Travis could pull," breaking into laughter as her team member continues to assert that there's no way Sweetener won't be No. 1 on this week's charts.

Just to refresh your memory, Nicki first ignited the feud with Travis last weekend, in a series of tweets. "Travis sold over 50K of these. With no requirement of redeeming the album! With no dates for a tour, etc. I spoke to him. He knows he doesn't have the #1 album this week. I love my fans for the #1 album in AMERICA!" she captioned a photo of Travis's Astroworld merch. She added in a follow-up, "I put my blood sweat & tears in writing a dope album only for Travis Scott to have Kylie Jenner post a tour pass telling ppl to come see her & Stormi. lol. Im actually laughing. #Queen broke the record of being number 1 in 86 countries. Thank Jesus & thank you to my fans."

A few days later, Nicki stood her ground on her Beats 1 radio show. "Because he's out here selling clothes instead of music. What we're not gonna do is have that auto-tune man selling f*cking sweaters telling you he sold half a million albums, because he f*cking didn't. You stupid f*ck. You got your f*cking homeboy talking for you and you got your girlfriend selling tour passes. Stop it. Knock it the f*ck off," she said.

All that's left to do now is wait for Ari and Nicki to team up on a smash-hit diss track.
