April showers have produced full month’s worth of rainfall

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – ‘Rain, rain, go away’ has been what many are saying recently as rain showers have been frequent across Western New York.

We are a little over halfway through April, and 10 days have featured some form of precipitation so far which has lead to Western New York already seeing 100% of normal rainfall for the month – with a few select spots seeing 200% of normal rainfall in northern Pennsylvania. This number takes into account part of March which saw below normal precipitation which makes these values even more impressive.

Additional rain is forecasted for the next couple of days where some locations may pick up an additional inch.
