Applications open for Roseville Fire Kids Camp

(FOX40.COM) — Young people in the Sacramento area interested in learning about what it takes to be a firefighter have the chance to get some hands-on learning at the Roseville Fire Kids Camp 2024.

Open to both Roseville residents and non-residents the five-day camp runs from June 10 to June 14 and applications are now open. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on April 24.

Placer County adopts digital fire prevention program

The camp is open to those ages 11 to 14 by June 9, 2024. Those ages 15 to 17 with two years of prior experience at the camp can sign up to be junior counselors.

The camps cost $335 and no payment is needed until campers are selected. The final camper selection will be on May 6.

CAL FIRE newest C-130s almost ready to start fighting wildfires

Each day the camp will run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. where campers will learn water safety, first aid, CPR, babysitting basics, rescue practices, firefighting and fitness.

The camp will be held at 2030 Hilltop Circle, Roseville and campers will be provided lunch, snacks, shirts and other swag.
