Applications now available for 10th Judicial Circuit Court vacancy

RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — Applications for the 10th Judicial Circuit in Raleigh County are open to fill the judicial court vacancy after the resignation of Judge Robert A. Burnside, Jr., who served as Raleigh County Circuit Court Judge since 1988.

The applications are being accepted by the Judicial Vacancy Advisory Commission, and those who apply will need to submit their finished applications and letters of recommendation before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024.

Raleigh County Circuit Court Judge Robert Burnside will not seek re-election

Not only are the applications and letters of recommendation required, applicants will also need to fill out three Authorizations for Release of Information forms.

The applications and Authorization forms can be sent in by email at JVAC@wv.gov or by mail at Judicial Vacancy Advisory Commission, c/o Office of the General, Counsel to the Governor, Office of the Governor, State Capitol, 1900 Kanawha Blvd E, Charleston, WV 25305.
