Application deadline for emergency funding extended

Apr. 19—The deadline for local agencies to apply for more than $30,000 in emergency food and shelter has been extended.

Crawford County Mental Health Awareness Program (CHAPS) announced earlier this week that $33,639 in federal funding was available for nonprofit, faith-based and government agencies in the county.

The deadline, originally set for today, has been moved to May 3, according to CHAPS.

Agencies may receive funds to provide food, shelter and supportive services through existing programs.

Applications and requests for additional information on requirements should be emailed to jcovert@ccdaec.org.
