Fall is upon us and I'm feeling very un-chill about it. Summer is by far my favorite season and, well, I'm having a hard time saying goodbye. And I fear change. And I'm always cold. Basically what I'm saying is, I need a drink.

These apple pie sparklers are helping me ease into the change of season. Though I don't love fall weather, I do love fall flavors and this cocktail's got 'em.

It all starts with the rim. We mixed cinnamon and sugar together for that classic apple pie flavor. Simply run a slice of apple around the rim of your glass and dip away. Don't skip this step - it gives the drink a much needed kick of spice.

Next comes the booze. Since moscato is super fruity, it pairs perfectly with the sparkling cider that the drink is topped with. To really kick things up a notch we added vanilla vodka to further emphasize the flavor of a slice of apple pie a la mode. It also helps me forget I'll be wearing turtlenecks for the next five months.
