Suspect in custody after SWAT call in southeast Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person is in custody after a SWAT call in southeast Austin on Saturday night, according to the Austin Police Department.

APD said officers responded to a shoot/stab hotshot call at around 8:28 p.m. on Woodland Oaks Court, which is located near East Stassney Lane and South Pleasant Valley Road.

APD officers found two seriously injured victims, who were given life-saving measures and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

SWAT was called to the scene, and one suspect was taken into custody, according to APD.

The investigation is ongoing, and APD believes this was an isolated incident with no threat to the public.
