Another round of storms Tuesday afternoon

Columbus, Ga (WRBL)- Storms popping up this afternoon will make us Weather Aware today. While the threat for severe weather is low, it is not non existent. The primary threat will be gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rain where we see storms. Temperatures as a result will struggle to get out of the upper 70s today.

Rest of the week:

Enjoy more sunshine for Wednesday and Thursday, because it won’t last for long. Temperatures will also trend warmer reaching into the mid 80s Thursday afternoon.

Storms will move back into the forecast by Friday as a low pressure system makes its way through the southeast. These storms could bring heavy rain at times Friday afternoon and again Saturday. Eventually rain chances taper off Sunday morning as the system clears out.

Behind this, we stay sunny for the start of next week and readings could heat back into the 90s.
