Angelina College celebrates 62 new nurses

LUFKIN, Texas (KETK) – Angelina College celebrated 62 new nurses with a pinning ceremony, recognizing their completion of their degree and their transition into the vocation.

According to Angelina College, 62 new nurses were awarded for their work finishing their degree program, preparing them to pursue further education and to enter the workforce. The pinning ceremony included friends and family, a traditional candle-light ceremony and the Nightingale pledge.

“Never, ever stop learning,” Dr. Sandra Brannan, director of nursing programs at Angelina College, said to the new nurses. “Read everything you can, keep working on furthering your education and remember you’ll never know everything there is to know about this profession.”
