Amarillo police: Avoid I-40 and Quarter Horse, site of major crash

Drivers are urged to avoid the area of Interstate 40 and Quarter Horse Drive after a major crash about 11 a.m. Tuesday, according to Amarillo police.

"Amarillo Police and Emergency Crews are responding to a major motor vehicle collision at I-40 and Quarter Horse, westbound proper. Please avoid the area to give the emergency personnel room to work," reads a traffic advisory from Amarillo police.
