DHDC Eggtastic Day Camp

The Don Harrington Discovery Center offers two days of egg-citing, egg related events with their Camp Discovery Day Camp, scheduled for March 29 and April 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During the event, kids will experience egg-splosions, egg-rosion, and many more egg-speriments at DHDC’s Camp Discovery. Campers will crack jokes and get cracking on learning new things with their friends, as they eggs-plore science and egg-scape the screens.

Caregivers can choose their experience: They can register for just one day or choose both. As stated by the DHDC, the Discovery Day Camps are available during Amarillo Independent School District school breaks and are designed to offer caregivers a supportive childcare option.

Camp times include:

  • Pre-K Camp, available from 9 a.m. to noon

  • Kindergarten through 4th grade camp, available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Pricing for half-day camps or campers 5 years old and under are $20 per child for members and $25 per child for nonmembers. Full day pricing is $40 per child for members, or $50 per child for non members. Pre-care and after-care options are also available for certain age groups; for access to both, it’s only an additional $10.

The day camps have limited availability. Caregivers are encouraged to register as soon as possible and can do so online at DHDC.org.

For more information on their community programs and camp policies, follow DHDC on Facebook, Instagram, and their website DHDC.org .
