Alexandria police: Metro police officer, man get into ‘altercation’

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (DC News Now) — The Alexandria Police Department (APD) said officers were assisting Metro Transit Police on Friday night after an incident between an officer and a man.

In a post made just before 9 p.m. on X, formerly Twitter, APD said it was at the King Street Metro Station. There, they say an “altercation” occurred between a man and a Metro Transit Police officer.

The suspect was in custody.
