Was Alec Baldwin caught trying to dine and dash?

On Tuesday night, the actor was having dinner at Hollywood hot spot Craig’s when he left the restaurant before paying his bill. And because paparazzi stake out the eatery for celebrities, the incident was captured on camera.

While the 60-year-old actor made his way to a car through a sea of photographers after his meal, he was hounded with questions about niece Hailey Baldwin‘s engagement to Justin Bieber. Same old, same old — until Alec Baldwin’s waitress came running after him.

Apparently, the Saturday Night Live guest star was not attempting to skip out on paying. Rather, he put his card down, but forgot to sign the check (or provide a tip). Although the waitress tracked down the actor to get his signature, she forgot a pen so an autograph seeker helped her out. Baldwin got his card back and settled up in the back seat.

Here’s hoping he left her a little something extra for the trouble.
