Authorities locate missing man in Lauderdale County

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), has located Jimmy Reed Butler after being missing for two days.

According to LCSO, Butler is being flown to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.

Lauderdale County Sheriff Joe Hamilton said Butler was found in a ravine between County Road 8 and County Road 130 in the Greenhill Community.

The sheriff said Butler had minor injuries and complained of some pain at the time he was found.

“I think the medics’ main concern was dehydration and the fact he was in 30-something-degree weather the night before,” Hamilton said. “I think the decision to fly to Huntsville was just for extra precaution.”
