Gov. Kay Ivey plans to reward anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person who detonated an explosive device at the Alabama Attorney General's Office with $5,000.

At about 3:42 a.m. Feb. 24, an explosive device detonated outside the Attorney General's Office near the intersection of Washington Avenue and South Bainbridge Street, the Montgomery Advertiser previously reported.

No one reported any injuries or damage to buildings from the explosion.

Special agents with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Bureau of Investigation received a report of a suspicious package at about 8:19 a.m. Feb. 26. They went to the scene and determined that the package was the device used Feb. 24.

The agency also released an image of a person of interest in the case.

Ivey announced Monday morning that her office plans to issue a $5,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those involved.

The agency, the FBI Mobile office and the Attorney General's Office are asking for the public's help identifying anyone with information on the explosion. People may call 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit information online at www.fbi.govalabamaagexplosion.
