Sunseeker Resorts will cover more than 20 acres on the waterfront of Port Charlotte, Florida, and will include a resort hotel, nine condo towers, a private marina, and a variety of entertainment options including 10 bars and restaurants. The complex will even include a private grocery store and a medical care facility and pharmacy.

Allegiant is also planning to build what the airline says will be the largest pool in North America; it will cover the area of about three football fields.

The marina will offer easy access to boat excursions and rentable watercraft, while the resort’s fitness center and yoga classes will overlook the harbor.

“In my years of experience developing resort properties around the world, it’s rare to find such a perfect alignment of factors,” John Redmond, president of Allegiant, said in a statement.

He added that the resort gives Allegiant the opportunity to expand in the leisure travel industry.

Condos on the property will start at $650,000 for a one-bedroom, $850,000 for a two-bedroom, and $1.1 million for a three-bedroom. Hotel room rates are to be determined.

Allegiant plans to open the resort in 2019.
