South Africa main opposition party leader Zille will not stand for re-election

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - Leader of South Africa's main opposition party Helen Zille will not stand for the party's leadership position at its next electoral conference after eight years in the post, she told a news conference on Sunday. "These kinds of decisions are a long time coming but in the end they are made suddenly. The time is right," said Zille, who is currently premier of Western Cape province.
