New adventure park, swim school to open Covington this spring

COVINGTON, La. (WGNO) — Two new family-friendly recreational activity venues will open in Covington this spring.

According to a news release, Goldfish Swim School and Urban Air will take over the former Rouses Market building at 50 Park Place Drive.

The release states the idea to convert the building came eight years ago, and the project is set to be complete in April.

Goldfish Swim School is set to open in mid-March and offer swim lessons “in a fun, safe, play-based environment.”

Urban Air Adventure Park is expected to open in early April and offer families a place to jump around, climb and play safely.

According to the release, approvals for the new venue had to come from the neighboring Home Depot, “which included changing the shopping center’s name from St. Tammany Oaks to Park Place.”
