Adult, child killed in Louisburg house fire late Thursday morning

LOUISBURG, Kan. — An investigation is underway and an adult and a child were killed in a house fire late Thursday morning in Louisburg, Kansas.

Emergency crews responded to the residential structure fire just after 11 a.m. in the area of N. 5th Street and Mulberry Street.

The two victims have not been identified at this time and the cause of the fire is unknown.

Crews from Louisburg Fire and Police, Paola Fire, Miami County Sheriff and EMS and Overland Park Fire Department responded to the scene.

The State Fire Marshal is investigating the fire.
