Accidents - May 13, 2024
May 13—No citations were issued Sunday in a two-vehicle accident in Creston.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 7:09 p.m. a 2014 Dodge Dart, driven by Ronald P. Williams Jr., 48, of Creston, was southbound on Oak Street proceeding through the intersection at Prairie Street after stopping, when it was struck by an eastbound 2016 Nissan Altima, driven by Lisa M. Mongar, 59, of Creston.
Williams said he looked but did not see any vehicles at the intersection. Mongar had the right-of-way through the intersection. Williams failed to yield the right-of-way from the stop sign.
Damage to the Dart was estimated at $4,000 and damage to the Altima was estimated at $10,000.
