All aboard! Navy Band Southeast playing two free Memorial Day shows in Jacksonville

Navy Band Southeast, made up of active-duty sailors based at NAS Jacksonville, will play two Memorial Day shows in Jacksonville and another later in the week.

The band's Windward Brass Quintet is scheduled to perform at 8:30 a.m. Monday at a Memorial Day observance at the Veterans Memorial Wall, which is located between 121 Financial Ballpark and EverBank Stadium. The event and parking are free.

The band will also perform at a Memorial Day Concert and Picnic at 6 p.m. Monday at Memorial Park on Riverside Avenue. The show is free and fans are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.

On Friday, May 31, the band is scheduled to play at 6 p.m. at the Springfield Summer Kick-off at Sesquicentennial Park. The free event, which runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., includes food trucks, games and a pie contest.
