Abilene woman, Wilson man killed in Lubbock County Sunday crash
A two-vehicle crash on an overpass left two people dead late Sunday in Lubbock County, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety news release.
About 11:30 p.m. Sunday, law enforcement officials arrived at the overpass at US Highway 87 and Farm-to-Market Road 1585 for a reported crash.

An initial investigation indicated that a 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 had been driving northbound on US 87 in the south travel lanes. A 2015 Toyota 4-door passenger car had been traveling south on the US 87 southbound side. The two vehicles collided head-on at the crest of the overpass at FM 1585.
Both drivers died from crash-related injuries at the site of the crash. The Dodge driver, Christina Elaine Castro, 33, of Abilene, had not been wearing a seatbelt, according to the release. The Toyota driver, Marcos Noyola Castanon, 23, of Wilson, was also pronounced dead at the location.
