Abilene Ride of Silence this Wednesday

On May 15th all are welcome for a free, silent bike ride through South Abilene. The Ride of Silence is held by cyclists worldwide in honor of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways and raise awareness of cyclists on the road.

Those participating are asked to meet at McMurry University’s Radford Auditorium by 6:15 pm for instructions and the ride will begin at 7:00 pm.

The ride is free and open to all riders age 14 and older. Abilene Police will escort the ride along the five mile path. Helmets and lights are required and there will be a pace of 10-12 mph.
