abc27 recognized with Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters awards, Hall of Fame recognition

(WHTM) – The Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters held its annual awards luncheon on Friday with several abc27 employees recognized for their work.

Ali Lanyon won Outstanding Feature and Eric Finkenbinder won for Outstanding Television Weathercast.

Our own Chief Engineer Keith Blaisdell was also inducted into the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

Keith has received more than 50 awards in his career and was instrumental in developing and implementing high-definition technology and live capabilities in Pennsylvania broadcasting. He also helped develop the new abc27 facility and a studio for Lighthouse TV.

He was also recognized for developing a closed captioning system for the John Fetternan-Mehmet Oz U.S. Senate debate.

Before becoming Chief Engineer, Keith was a video editor, photojournalist, chief photojournalist, news operations manager, assistant news director an news director at abc27.
