SHEBOYGAN – 8th Street Ale Haus in downtown Sheboygan is closing after nearly 14 years of business.

The brewpub, 1132 N. Eighth St., will shut its doors June 9.

“We would like to thank all our patrons for the past 14 years of business,” 8th Street Ale Haus shared in a Facebook post. "Your love and passion for craft beer has been a true delight to be a part of. We thank you for letting us be a part of it, for the opportunity to serve you, and hope you continue on your craft beer journey.”

8th Street Ale Haus extended its gratitude to employees’ contributions to the business and for the impact they had on customers, too.

"We could not have done it without you, nor would we have wanted to do it without you," the post said.

The brewpub said in the post it is “no longer able to serve the craft community in the capacity” it’d like to.

It could offer beer deals, extended hours and “special happenings” in the coming weeks. Although the space is closing, 8th Street Ale Haus could return for pop-up events in the future.

It hosted Oktoberfest celebrations in the fall, live music on Sundays, fundraisers and other community events.

The business could not be reached for comment prior to publication.
