80,000+ restored, We Energies aim for 95% by end of day as repairs from Wisconsin’s April snowstorm continue

(WFRV) – Thousands of people are still without power as a result of Wisconsin’s early April snowstorm but officials with We Energies say they aim for the vast majority of its customers to be restored by the end of the day.

We Energies posted a statement on its Facebook page, saying they’ve restored power to over 80,000 customers affected by the storm and have crews working around the clock.

WPS expects power to be restored ‘by the end of the day tomorrow’

“We expect 95% of impacted customers will have power restored by the end of Thursday, April 4, with the rest restored, or a crew assigned, by Friday afternoon,” We Energies said in its post. “Crews are repairing significant damage like broken poles and electrical equipment and this type of damage takes some time to repair.”

According to We Energies’ outage map, just over 14,500 customers are still without power as of Thursday morning.

The counties that are currently being impacted the most through We Energies are listed below:

  • Outagamie – 6,114

  • Calumet – 2,292

  • Shawano – 1,784

  • Menominee – 1,416

  • Oconto – 1,116
