8 years later, the murder of David Ducros remains unsolved

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — On April 17, 2016, David Ducros was shot at the edge of the St. Bernard neighborhood. Eight years later, the case remains unsolved. It’s the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

Ducros was shot in the leg at the corner of Paris Avenue and Lafreniere Street. He died at a hospital. Earlier in the same month that he was killed, former Saints player Will Smith was also shot and killed.

Violent crime concerns in the city led Mitch Landrieu to give a speech on the problem. Landrieu was the mayor of the city at the time. During his speech, Landrieu mentioned Smith’s death as well as Ducros and five other victims of violent crime.
